A 23-year-old man has died following a crash south of Whanganui this afternoon.
The two vehicle crash happened around 12.30pm, on State Highway 3 at Whangaehu.
The driver of the other vehicle has been transported to Whanganui Hospital with moderate injuries.
The road is closed and the Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
Diversions are in place, which police said would add significant time to people's journeys.
