Police have arrested the man they say fired shots out of a car window near Kaitaia last month after failing to stop.
They said the 27-year-old from Kaitaia again failed to stop for them in Ahipara this afternoon.
Road spikes stopped his car at Herekino and he ran through a forest block before being detained, police said.
The man has been charged in relation to possession of a firearm, resisting arrest with a firearm, burglary and failing to stop.
A female passenger, 32, was also arrested for failing to appear on previous charges.
