A motorcyclist has died in hospital following a crash with a truck just north of Auckland this afternoon.
The crash happened on the Coatesville-Riverhead Highway in Albany just before 3.30pm, police said.
In a separate crash, a woman has died after her car crashed off a rural road south-east of Dargaville in Northland.
Police were alerted to the crash at 1.25pm after a member of the public spotted skidmarks going off Whakapirau Road, in the town of Maungaturoto, and down a bank.
The car was found on its roof.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
