Fans of NZ comedian and social media star Johnny 'Danger' Bennett have been left stunned after he died in a motorcycle crash north of Auckland yesterday.
Bennett died after his bike crashed on Dairy Flat Rd in Albany about 2.30pm yesterday.
Bennett - who had more than 230,000 followers on Instagram - was taking part in a motorcycle rally when he crashed and died at the scene.
He made headlines in 2015 when he was fined and disqualified from driving after he was filmed climbing onto the roof of a taxi as it travelled over the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
Police have not yet confirmed that Bennett was the victim in yesterday's motorcycle crash, but the news of his death has spread widely on social media, with dozens of tributes on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Spent some time with him last year when we were in NZ, and kept in touch with him after we left.
