Firefighters in Timaru are still working on extinguishing a fire on a ship, eight days after it broke out following an explosion on board.
Four crews from Wellington, Ashburton and Timaru are at the site.
The ship was boarded up over the weekend to starve the fire of oxygen, but firefighters will re-enter it today to identify remaining hotspots.
Fire and Emergency said it hoped to it would be able to hand over the site to the Transport Accident Investigation Commission later today or tomorrow.
