A 74-year-old hunter who was reported missing on Stewart Island earlier today has been found alive and well.

He had become separated from his hunting party and was last seen yesterday evening.
A Land Search and Rescue team was searching the coast of the Port Adventure when the man was found around 6pm o'clock this evening.
He is undergoing a medical assessment, police said.
