A woman has been charged with the murder of a 26-year-old man on New Year's Day in the Waikato.

Peter Savage was found lying outside a house in a critical condition at a rural property on Waring Road, south of Huntly.
Emergency services unsuccessfully tried to revive him and he died at the scene.
A 26-year-old woman has now been arrested and charged with the murder of Mr Savage.
She appeared in the Hamilton District Court today and has been remanded in custody until late February.
