Hamilton police searching for an elderly man missing for three days are asking any motorists who may have given him a ride to contact them.
Raymond Stirling, who is 84 and has mild dementia, has been missing since Monday evening and was last seen at his Flagstaff home. He is frail and suffers from mild dementia.
The police said he has been known to wave down motorists to catch a ride.
Searchers have been checking every property within one kilometre of his Halcione Close home and family have been searching areas previously known by Mr Stirling in Ngaruawahia and Huntly.
Mr Stirling is possibly wearing blue track pants, and white and red sneaker-type shoes, and may have a black walking stick.
