A fatal car crash has closed State Highway 27, north of Matamata.
A woman has died and a child is in a critical condition.
Two other people were injured in the single-car crash, near Pohlen Road, police said.
Emergency services were called to the crash at about 2.50pm.
The Serious Crash Unit was investigating.
