A person has died after being hit by a truck in Hamilton and another pedestrian has been killed in Palmerston North.

Emergency services are at Ruakura Road in Hamilton, where the incident happened at about 11.15am.
The road is closed from Wairere Drive.
Police said the crash is being investigated and diversions are in place.
Meanwhile, another pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on Broadway Ave in Palmerston North at about 9.43am this morning.
The man died at the scene.
