A Christchurch man was injured when a shot from an air rifle was fired through the window of his home on Monday night.

Police said the man was hit while inside his house on Golf Links Road in the suburb of Shirley at about 10.30pm.
The shot is believed to have come from an air rifle.
The man suffered minor injuries and is now recovering, said police.
"However this is an innocent person in their own home and we are determined to find whoever is responsible."
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area on Monday evening and may have seen something suspicious.
Police have also asked for anyone with CCTV cameras in the area to contact them.
