A Korean man has been found dead in a hot pool at a spa park in Taupō.
Police said they were called to Otumuheke Stream Spa Park in County Ave at 12.30pm.
The public park is a natural hot pool, about 25 minutes from Taupō town centre.
A rahui has been placed on the river from Otumuheke downstream to Huka Falls.
The man has been identified and police are working with Interpol to let family in Korea know.
The matter has been referred to the coroner.
