A person has been hospitalised with serious injuries after being hit by a bus in central Wellington.

Police said the crash happened at about 2.30pm at the intersection of Manners Street and Willis Street.
The section from Manners Street to Victoria Street was closed to all traffic, but reopened a short time ago.
Police said the pedestrian is in a serious to critical condition.
