Cordons around an area of Auckland where a person was reported to have a gun have now been lifted.
Police were called to Korau Road in Greenlane shortly after 1pm.
Sergeant Ian Rose said the police were now talking with a person who was helping them with their enquiries.
He said they were yet to decide whether charges would be laid.
