Police in Northland are appealing for sightings of a car they suspect was involved in a fatal hit-and-run.

Laura Terore, 67, was standing on State Highway 12 between Kaikohe and Ohaeawai late last Friday night when she struck by a car and died at the scene.
She had been a passenger in a car heading for Kaikohe, and had stepped out when it stopped by the side of the road.
She was then hit by another vehicle and the driver of drove off without stopping.
Police have been trawling CCTV footage and were interested in a silver or grey Toyota Estima, that could be a 2004 or older model.
The car was travelling nearby on SH12 just before Ms Terore was hit.
Police said they suspected the driver was still in the Kaikohe area, and that the car's front could be damaged.
