Radio New Zealand's Morning Report has won the 2010 award for Public Sector Media Excellence.
The award recognises distinguished and impartial reporting of public sector issues in a manner that contributes to a wider and deeper understanding of the processes of government.
Radio New Zealand's head of news, Don Rood, says it's a well- deserved recognition of Morning Report.
He says that the programme provides in-depth coverage of the big stories of the day and rigorously scrutinises issues important to New Zealanders.
