The death of a baby in Christchurch this morning is not suspicious, the police say.
They said the baby died about 7.50am at a property on Bournemouth Crescent in Aranui.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
It is the second infant death to be investigated by police in the region this week, with the death of a six-month-old baby in the central city on Monday.
