The police are not ruling out drugs and gang related activity as they piece together what led to the deaths of a Rotorua uncle and nephew.
The bodies of Raymond Fleet and James Fleet were found in the Mamaku Forest yesterday; they disappeared on Monday.
Inspector Anaru Pewhairangi said the police were still trying to establish what happened and a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
He believed there was no risk to the wider community.
Mr Pewhairangi said the families were devastated and have asked for privacy.
