The man accused of murdering another man in Te Awamutu last month has pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Storm Tehuia is charged with the murder of Anthony Hallmond, who died after a fight in the south Waikato town on the evening of 23 July.
The 46-year-old entered a plea of not guilty when he appeared in the High Court in Hamilton this morning.
The start date for a week-long trial has been set for July next year.
Police earlier said there was an altercation outside a property on North Road prior to Mr Hallmond's death.
