Police have suspended their search for missing Taranaki man Karl Roberts.

Mr Roberts has not been since Tuesday, when police believe he lost control of his car and slid down a bank on Uruti Road, near New Plymouth.
Police said they had suspended the physical aspect of their search, following extensive work over the past two days on land and from the air.
Police will continue trying to find out where he is, and have urged anyone with information to contact the police in New Plymouth.
