A large slip blocked State Highway 3 north of New Plymouth this morning.

A truck driver heading north came across the slip near Urenui about 3am.
Both lanes of the highway were blocked and the substantial amount of dirt was also on a blind corner.
Contractors opened one lane about 6am and the other was due to be cleared by midday.
