Trains have started running through Papatoetoe again after a man's body was found on the tracks near the Auckland station.

Police at the scene said emergency services were called about 7.50am after a train driver spotted the body.
All southern line services were cancelled, and commuters said the eastern and western line services were also disrupted.
Trains carrying hundreds of people were stopped and passengers were told they would have to use buses.

Inspector Shawn Rutene, at the train station, said little was known about how the man came to be on the tracks.
"This incident happened on the southern route. We were able to actually contain it very quickly, and at this point in time we're still continuing with inquiries."
Mr Rutene said the public had generally been very understanding about the disruption.
Auckland Transport said services were returning to normal but minor delays were still possible.
