A woman has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of a man in South Auckland last night.
Police were called to Cobham Crescent in Otara about 7pm after reports that a stabbing had taken place.
A 55-year-old man was found dead, and a 41-year-old woman was found unconscious and taken to Middlemore Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Police said a 42-year-old woman had been arrested and would appear in the Manukau District Court charged with murder.
A scene examination was under way at the house and a post mortem would be carried out later today.
