Evelin Stemposki arrived at Auckland Airport on a flight from Brazil via Chile in April.

Customs had identified her as a 'high-risk' passenger while she was en route and when she arrived 4.6kg of cocaine was discovered in a fake compartment at the bottom of her suitcases.

Customs Investigations Manager Bruce Berry said the woman had an elaborate cover-up story, but x-rays revealed she was hiding something.

The drugs had a potential street value of $3.2 million.
