Police have charged a 20-year-old man with murder after a 19-year-old's death in Invercargill.
They said the younger man died this morning after a serious attack about 11pm last night at Stadium Southland.
The accused appeared in the Invercargill District Court today.
He has been granted name suppression and was remanded in custody.
Police said they were speaking with a number of other people and examining two scenes - the stadium, and a residential property.
A post-mortem examination and formal identification of the man who died would happen tomorrow.
They said they still wanted to hear from anyone who was near the stadium last night.
They initially said the charged man was 30 years old, but later corrected his age.
