Auckland police are warning a king tide could cause flooding on Tamaki Drive.

The king tide is expected this evening with the peak at 8.45pm.
Police said this may cause flooding along Tamaki Drive and police and roading contractors would be on site to monitor the road.
Motorists are being asked to avoid the area if possible and police warn it may close if conditions are deemed unsafe.
