A man, 30, is to appear in the North Shore District Court on Tuesday after a fatal domestic dispute.
Another man, 28, was shot and killed at Haigh Access Road in Redvale, Rodney, just before 11pm on Monday.
Police have seized a firearm from the property and say no one else is being sought.
A homicide inquiry has begun.
