Seven more arrests follow Porirua meth bust

Police have made more arrests and seized a house, car and boat as part of a major methamphetamine bust that began yesterday in Porirua, north of Wellington.

Six people were arrested yesterday, along with 2kg of the drug, firearms, cash and $1.8 million worth of assets.

It followed from an investigation into the Porirua Mongrel Mob.

Today, a further seven people were arrested on nearly 30 charges. About 2kg more methamphetamine was seized, along with a loaded revolver, a Mercedes car, a launch, and a container house near Firth of Thames.

Police said the total value of assets seized so far in the investigation was approximately $2.3m.
