A search for rugby league player Sonny Fai, who is presumed to have drowned, is to resume on Tuesday.
Fai, 20, went missing in the surf at Bethells Beach at about 8pm on Sunday, while helping his younger brother, who was caught in a rip.
New Zealand Warriors manager Don Mann says the club has arranged for a private charter helicopter to assist a search by the Bethells Beach surf patrol around the low-tide period.
He says Fai's family has not given up hope.
Mann says the loss is keenly felt by the entire team and club members want to do all they can to help find him.
Fai played 15 games for the Warriors after making his NRL debut last March. He was voted the Warriors' under-20 player of the year in 2007.
