Police in London have confirmed the body found in the Thames River on Tuesday is New Zealander Johnny Sleigh.
The 36-year-old went missing on Saturday 8 May after he left a nightclub in central London.
Police say a post-mortem has revealed that Mr Sleigh died from drowning and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
They say CCTV footage shows Mr Sleigh walking over the Thames on Hungerford footbridge the night he disappeared but he did not reach the other side.
In a statement, the family of Mr Sleigh say they have questions about how and why he ended up in the river and they hope a police inquest will answer them.
Family members say they are thankful to police and Mr Sleigh's friends that he has been found and they can now focus on bringing him home.
