Police in Christchurch say they still have a long way to go in their inquiry into the killing of a prostitute.
The body of Mellory Manning, 27, was discovered in the Avon River on 19 December. A post mortem revealed she had been strangled, beaten and stabbed.
Police are trying to indentify a blue Ford Falcon she was seen getting into the night before that, and a dark-coloured 4WD vehicle that was in the area about the same time.
Detective Inspector Greg Williams says there has been a good response from the public so far.
A memorial service was held on Monday by family and friends.
Police are still trying to locate Ms Manning's shoes.
