Four men facing charges for allegedly selling concrete panels from China as an Australian-made brand will have their identities kept secret for the time being.

The Commerce Commission began investigating the men in August 2015 after allegations several businesses misrepresented the nature and origin of their treated concrete.
The Commission said the Chinese concrete panels were sold over a six-year period between 2007 and 2013 as the German-designed, Australian-manufactured brand Hebel.
Court documents showed the panels were sold to big companies such as Hawkins Construction and were used in building a transformer substation in Penrose in Auckland.
The four men, appearing in Auckland District Court this morning, were granted interim name suppression until their next appearance at the end of February.
