A woman was hit by a stolen car after a police chase in central Wellington, with the thieves still at large.
Thieves stole the car, a silver Mazda Familia, from a Lyall Bay shop at 1.40pm today.
Police followed the car and signalled the driver to stop, but they continued into the city.
The Mazda hit a woman at the intersection of Everton Terrace and The Terrace at 1.55pm, before the thieves abandoned the car in the Clifton Terrace carpark. They ran off.
The woman was scraped and bruised, but not seriously injured.
The police are looking for two men and a woman, all in their 20s. They want to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash.
