The police in Auckland are investigating the sudden death of a homeless man on Saturday.
Earlier reports said the man was sitting on the bridge with three friends when he fell backwards.
The man, 45, fell 5m and was found dead on Custom Street West under the Downtown carpark off-ramp.
Police are trying to establish what led to the incident and have been speaking to a number of witnesses and people who knew the man.
