A group of hunters are expected to be stranded in the Southland backcountry for two days after two bridges were washed out by flooding.
Police said the group of 10 people were camped 10km north of Piano Flat.
They said the hunters were well-provisioned for the situation and were not in any danger.
The bridges were expected to be repaired by Thursday.
