A month-long manhunt has ended in the arrest of a man sought by police since a gun was pointed at officers.

The manhunt for Levi Reeves began on 9 December, after the incident unfolded at a routine traffic stop in Whangarei.
Yesterday, police found him at a house in the Auckland suburb of New Lynn while carrying out an unrelated search warrant.
The 25-year-old is facing three charges of using a firearm against a police officer and breaching court release conditions, and is due to appear in the Waitakere District Court today.
