People in Napier overwhelmingly support keeping New Zealand's only marine zoo open to the public.
The Napier City Council closed Marineland in August after the last performing dolphin died, but agreed to re-consider its future following a public consultation process.
Napier councillors are considering more than 170 written and oral submissions on the facility's future.
More than 1000 children have signed her petition to keep Marineland open.
On Friday the council will consider written submissions, most of which want Marineland upgraded and re-opened at its present site.
