A woman died when the quad bike she was riding with two other people rolled down a bank into a stream overnight.
Emergency services were called to a bush reserve near State Highway 41 at Kuratau about about 1am today.
Another woman, aged 28, was taken by helicopter to Rotorua hospital suffering moderate injuries, and a man was uninjured.
