Peter Evans, 58, was sentenced at the High Court in Wellington this morning on a range of drugs charges, including possession of methamphetamine and fantasy for supply, and offering to supply morphine.

Evans was arrested as a result of a police operation to target major distributors of Class A and B drugs in Wellington.

A search of his property revealed small canisters of methamphetamine taped to a tree and 980ml of fantasy buried by the tree.

A 61-year-old nurse, whose name is suppressed, was sentenced to 10 months home detention for laundering more than $340,000 of drug money.
