A driver has been killed in a crash on State Highway 1 on the Kapiti Coast.
The truck and car collided near Greenhill Road, at Waikanae, just before 6.30am.
The driver of the car has died and the truck driver sustained minor injuries.
A section of SH1 was being closed until at least midday and traffic diverted via Peka Peka and Te Moana Roads.
Police said the crash was likely to cause significant traffic delays.
