Two trampers have been found safe and well after going missing in the Hunua Ranges south of Auckland yesterday.
Trevor Beaton, 60, and a woman in her 30s identified only as Christine have been missing since becoming separated from a larger group yesterday afternoon.
The pair were tramping on the Workman Track in the ranges, which are located southeast of Auckland.
Search and rescue teams, along with the Eagle police helicopter, were looking for them until 2am this morning and resumed the search at 8am.
The search was expanded this afternoon with 25 police officers joining the hunt for the pair.
