Two men entered the Carlisle Street dairy yesterday evening armed with a plastic pistol and a knife.

The police said they demanded money but were chased out of the store by the owner and his assistant.

One of them wore dark blue pants with a reflective band around the knee.

They ran down Tyrone Street and got into a silver car, before driving away.

The police wanted to hear from anyone who possibly saw the car in the Argyll Road - Tyrone Street area yesterday.
