Police are taking a new look at the disappearance of a Whanganui man 12 years ago.
David Radovu, also known as Anitivasa Lewadeke, was last seen in March 1998 when his employer dropped him off at his caravan on the Whanganui River Road.
Mr Radovu failed to turn up for work two days later, having disappeared without trace.
Police say his disappearance was completely out of character, his bank account was untouched and although there were no obvious signs, foul play cannot be ruled out.
Detective Constable Aaron Bunker says the routine review of the case is seeking information that anyone felt they could not share with police 12 years ago.
Police are also trying to trace three of Mr Radovu's children who were living in Auckland at the time, but have since moved.
