An 85-year-old woman has died after a crash between two cars in Rangiora, north of Christchurch, this morning.
An elderly man is in a serious but stable condition, and three other people have minor injuries after the fatal crash on Flaxton Road just after 11am.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.
