A small plane has had to make an emergency landing in a paddock near Waihi.
Fire Service said the plane, carrying two people, had been due to land in Tauranga but got into difficulty.
It is understood no one has been injured.
A Tauranga Airport spokesperson said the plane had engine problems and had been forced to land in a paddock in Athenree a short while ago.
Fire Service said no one was injured.
