The Royal New Zealand Air Force has been asked to help a search for a tramper who is overdue in the upper South Island.
Stephen Alderson, 44, entered the Kahurangi National Park on the Kill Devil Track alone on Saturday. He was expected out on Monday evening.
Ground teams from Nelson and Golden Bay are looking for him.
