Two boys are in hospital with minor burns after a fire in a garage and two houses in Wanganui.
The Fire Service was called to Alma Road, Gonville, just before 7pm on Sunday where the shed was fully alight.
The boys received the burns after going too close to the fire.
The fire then spread to two houses nearby, but the five inhabitants were able to get out safely.
The houses only sustained minor damage but the shed and a car were destroyed.
Investigations are underway into how the blaze started.
