The police in Wellington have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a 37-year-old woman in the suburb of Strathmore Park.

Emergency services were alerted just after 7.30pm on Friday that a woman had been injured.
The woman was dead when they arrived.
Another 37-year-old woman who was at the address was talking with police.
Police said it appeared to be an isolated incident and others in the community should not be worried for their safety.
