An Israeli woman has been charged with causing the deaths of two English tourists following a crash near Mossburn in Southland.
Police have named the tourists killed as Robert Anthony Hindle, 73 and his wife Ann Hindle, aged 64.
The Hindles were travelling in a rental car on State Highway 97 about midday on Wednesday when they were struck by a car driven by the 27-year-old Israeli tourist in the opposite direction.
Witnesses say the car appeared to veer across the centre line.
The woman has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.
