The police say a man involved in an armed offenders squad callout in Papakura has been arrested.
The squad negotiated with the man, who was holding a weapon, inside a house in Fulmen Place on Friday.
The police say a doctor and two medical officers were at the scene during the stand-off, but their services were not required.
It is understood the man suffers from mental health issues.
